Life saving training in line with Deyata Kirula

Centering on the Kalankuttiya reservoir the Galnewa Divisional
Secretariat has organized a practical programme to teach people about
rescue individuals from drowning as part of the Deyata Kirula
Development Programme, Divisional Secretary E A S Edirisinghe said.
With the participation of the Coast Conservation Department, a number
of individuals will participate in this programme. Samurdhi Officers,
members of fisheries committees, Grama Niladharis and Kalankuttiya
schoolchildren are included in this group. This will be held on November
3, she said.
A number of Shramadana campaigns are also organized under the Deyata
Kirula programme. Apart from that, a religious activities to improve
religious ties between parents and children has been organized centering
on the Galnewa, Munindarama Temple.
Vocational training programmes and awareness programmes will be
organized with the participation of Vidhatha Sampath Centres. Industrial
Development Authority, Small Enterprises Development Board and Post
Harvest Technology Institute also will take part in this programme, she
added. |
