Youth convention held to remember Thondaman
Livestock Minister Arumugam Thondaman inaugurated the youth
convention at Norwood town last Saturday to mark the death anniversary
of CWC Founder Saumyamoorthy Thondaman.

The highlight of the event was a debate on whether creation of
employment opportunities or self-employment the way out for the estate
population.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development Muthu Sivalingam, Central
Provincial Council Education Minister, Tamil Stream, Anushya Sivarasa
and Uva Provincial Council Member Senthil Thondaman also participated.
Thousands of youth from several parts of the hill country took part
in the seminar, where competent and experienced men and women delivered
lectures. |
