EMP wins another quality award

A top Sri Lankan entrepreneur has been awarded another prestigious
World Quality Commitment (WQC) International Award in the Gold category
by the Business Initiative Directions (BID) in Spain.
Electro Metal Pressing (EMP) Chairman engineer Chandranandana
Diyunuge arrived in Sri Lanka with his Managing Director, engineer
T.Suresh Kumara last week having bagged the award at the International
Quality Convention held in Paris.
This was awarded to EMP in recognition of achievement in the realm of
quality and culture and creating a natural platform for broadcasting the
news of the company's position as a leader in the community and the
relevant sector. Electro Metal Pressing Pvt Ltd was purchased by
Diyunuge and Suresh Kumara with a liability of Rs 35 million in 2003 and
they settled the liability and took full control and ownership by 2004.
Diyunuge was recently awarded the Man of the Year 2011 by the
American Biographical Institute for his distinctive accomplishments in
the field of engineering. |
