President condoles on Saudi Prince’s death
In a condolence message addressed to His Majesty the King of Saudi
Arabia Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques, President Mahinda Rajapaksa has conveyed his deepest sympathies
to His Majesty the King, and through him, to the Government and people
of Saudi Arabia on the death of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Sultan
bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, states an External Affairs Ministry press
release.
On the direction of the President, a high level delegation from Sri
Lanka led by Senior Minister for Good Governance and Infrastructure
Ratnasiri Wickramanayake is currently visiting Riyadh to attend the
funeral of the late Crown Prince on Tuesday, October 25, 2011
accompanied by Senior Minister for Urban Affairs A.H.M. Fowzie, Minister
of Justice Rauff Hakeem, Rishad Bathiudeen, Minister of Industry and
Commerce, Faizer Musthapha, Deputy Minister of Technology and Research,
I. Ansar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs together
with Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Jawad.
