SingHealth S’pore ties up with Delmege

Singapore’s largest integrated health care provider, Sing Health which has two tertiary -level hospitals and five specialty centres, has tied up with Delmege Medical (Pvt) Ltd, a part of the Delmege Forsyth Group which has been in existence for over 150 years, where Delmege Medical will be the local representative for SingHealth in Sri Lanka.

“As its local representative Delmege Medical (PVt) Ltd will offer required patient information about medical treatment at any SingHealth facility to all its local customers who wish to be treated by the SingHealth group of hospitals by calling over at its office at 101, Vinayalankara Mawatha or calling on its hot line. We will also facilitate the process and extend all help to those who wish to avail themselves of this service,” Delmege Medical Director Kavinda Makalande said.

The two tertiary level hospitals within the SingHealth Group are Singapore General Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

The Specialty Centres are respectively the National Cancer Institute Singapore, National Heart Centre Singapore, National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore National Eye Centre and the National Dental Centre Singapore.

SingHealth offers multi disciplinary, integrated care and is recognized for new breakthrough treatment in the region.

Each year SingHealth performs over 200,000 surgeries and handles about 4.5 million patient visits.

SingHealth was the first healthcare facility in Asia Pacific to use 3D Fluoroscopy with stealth navigation (Medtronic O -arm), while the Singapore General Hospital offers spine and orthopaedic patients less invasive surgery, faster recovery time and improved out come.

The Singapore General Hospital has also performed the world’s first unrelated cord blood stem cell transplant as well as the first cord blood transplant for Thalassaemia patients.

The Breast Centre at the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, was the first in the world to use FDA- approved Computed Radiography for phosphor plate mammography
