Gateway to meet Lyceum in U-15 final

Gateway College, Colombo will meet Lyceum International School, Wattala in the final showdown of the under-15 inter-international schools cricket tournament with an unbeaten run.

Following three successive wins in the group games against Alethea International School, Stafford International School and St. Nicholas International School, Gateway beat Regent International School, Gampaha in the quarter-final before overcoming Gateway College, Kandy in the semi-final.

Gateway College Kandy: 135 all out in 32.3 overs (Rizan Saifudeen 18, Usitha Perera 18, Sachithra Sooriyaarachchi 22, Milinda Kodithuwakku 19, Suwan Wijetunge 5 for 26)

Gateway Colombo: 136 for 05 wickets in 24.4 overs (Selaka Kaluhendiwela 38, Ashfaq Mistha 37, Helith Bambaranda 19,

In the quarter-final, Gateway beat Regent International by 99 runs.

Gateway 161 all out: (Suresh Fernando 33, Malaka Wedage 24, Dinul Wijethunga 16, Avishka Wickramarachchi 15, Ashfaaq Mistha 14, Umeka Dewaas 2/32)

Regent International 60 all out (Kanchana Aranayake 12, Avishka Wickramarachchi 6/9)
