Deneth Lanka props up Rajans

A fine knock of 96 by later order batsman Deneth Lanka helped Dharmaraja College to total of 257 all out in the first day of their inter-school cricket match against Sri Sumangala College, Panadura which began at the Panadura Esplanade yesterday. The match will be continued today at 9.30 am.

Deneth Lanka who held the late order batting together had 11 fours and 1 six and faced 144 balls.

At close the Sumangalians had scored 21 for 2 facing 13 overs.

The scores:

Dharmaraja College: 257 all out in 80 overs (Kavinda Ratnayake 28, Sasith Gunasekera 33, Lochana Wijesiri 28, Anuja Tharaka 3 for 64, Lahiru Vimukthi 2 for 35, Ushara Thenuwara 2 for 42, Asanka Chamara 2 for 29).

Sri Sumangala College: 21 for 2 in 13 overs.
