Vietnamese President arrives tomorrow

Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang will arrive in Sri Lanka
tomorrow on a three day state visit.

He will be accorded a guard of honour with a 21 gun salute at the
Bandaranaike International Airport upon his arrival.
The visiting President is expected to meet President Mahinda
Rajapaksa, Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa and several top government leaders
during his stay in Colombo.
This is the first time a Vietnamese President will be visiting Sri
Lanka.
The Vietnamese President is to participate in the inauguration of
Vietnam–Sri Lanka Business Forum on Friday at the Taj Samudra Hotel.
Sang will address the Business forum where a high level delegation of
Vietnamese businessmen will also be taking part.
According to an Information Department official, the visiting
Vietnamese President and Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne will participate
in the opening of the Vietnam Embassy in Colombo.
The Vietnamese President is also scheduled to visit the Gem and
Jewellery Exchange on Saturday.
