Bharatha’s funeral today

The funeral of Presidential Director General on Trade Union Affairs Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra will take place this evening at Umagiliya grounds under state patronage. A committee headed by Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa has been appointed to organize the funeral arrangements.

Western Province Governor and funeral committee member Alavi Mowlana yesterday requested all members of joint trade union alliance, to honour the slain leader who left an indelible imprint in the trade union sector to ensure the rights of working masses by being present at his funeral today.
