Mobitel introduces LG 3D Smartphone
Mobitel, the National Mobile Service Provider launched the first 3D
smartphone in the country in association with Abans Lanka, sole
distributor for LG mobile phones in Sri Lanka. A ground breaking mobile
unit, LG Optimus 3D is an innovative smartphone with second generation
duel core technology and an advanced “Tri-Dual” architecture. The first
of its kind to be launched in Sri Lanka, Abans together with LG
Electronics partnered with Mobitel as the official network provider for
the launch.
As the national mobile service provider, Mobitel has committed to
embrace and offer the latest and the most advanced technologies that are
needed for Sri Lanka’s rapid development.
The partnership between LG Electronics and Mobitel in launching the
first 3D mobile phone in Sri Lanka is therefore testimony to the telecom
provider’s ability to offer the most advanced technology.
Speaking at the launching event, senior General Manager Corporate
Planning and Marketing of Mobitel Janaka Jayalath said, “We are well
equipped with the infrastructure and technology to suit the advanced
features of all smartphones, specifically those in the likes of the LG
Optimus 3D.
We believe our corporate clientele will immensely benefit from this
service offering and our renowned customer care.”
He said that Sri Lanka is the second country after Singapore to
market this phone, in Asia. “This is the first of its kind in Sri Lanka
and we are enthusiastic to see the response from our local community
towards this device, which we believe will prove to be an experience out
