Campaign launched on awareness of tax paying

The Kadugannawa Urban Council has launched a campaign to collect taxes properly by making local rate payers aware of their duty to pay taxes to the local authority.

Kadugannawa UC expects big income if local people reacted well to this call.

Officials say that a considerable sum of ratepayers in the locality are poorly informed about the duties of the people enjoying facilities provided by a local authority. They need to be made aware of how they can co-operate with the local authority in community development work thereby building a good rapport with the local authority and community, officials added.
