Couple die in three wheeler crash

Three children seriously injured:

A man and his wife died when the three wheeler they were travelling in collided with a lorry at Malwatta area in Godakawela yesterday.

The couple’s three children who were seriously injured are receiving treatment at the Ratnapura Hospital. The three wheeler and the lorry collided head on around 3 pm at Malwatta area on the Embilipitiya-Ratnapura road in Godakawela Police area.

The man , his wife, two daughters and son were rushed to the Godakawela hospital. The man and his wife died on admission to hospital. The three children were transferred to Ratnapura hospital.

The lorry driver was arrested. Godakawela Police are investigating.
