Jetwing presents Rugby extravaganza

Jetwing Hotels in Negombo has organized a rugby extravaganza. The beaches of Negombo are the battleground for the trophy with a stadium atmosphere set up for guests to witness the action first hand. It will conclude with the grand finale on October 23.

Taking place on the beachfront between Jetwing Blue and Jetwing Beach, all matches promise to be a spectacle not to be missed with plenty of food, drinks and fun.

“The Rugby World Cup this year is indeed infectious, with fierce competition promised. Since Friday, September 9, the World Cup is being played not in New Zealand, but in Negombo,” said Head of Sales and Marketing for Jetwing Hotels Ishanth Gunewardene.

“The atmosphere created by this game is second to none, and fits in perfectly with Jetwing’s image of teamwork and family,” he said.

Family owned and in the tourism industry for the past 38 years, Jetwing Hotels has surpassed all expectations. Building on their foundation of being passionate, as well as the experience of true, traditional Sri Lankan hospitality, constantly pioneering discoveries captures the essence of the brand.

Such a strong statement and direction have enabled Jetwing Hotels to create marvels and masterpieces, where distinctive design and elegant comfort complement each other and the environment. Considered by many to be ‘overambitious’, properties such as Jetwing Lighthouse in Galle and Jetwing Vil Uyana in Sigiriya are now icons; Jetwing lighthouse being the creation of the Geoffery Bawa, Jetwing Vil Uyana described as a ‘magical, enchanting property where man and nature meet, and are at once inexplicably linked’.

Along with Jetwing Beach in Negombo, the first product in the Bawa-Jetwing relationship, both properties are members of the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World, he said.
