Dishum Dishum crowned at Act Before You Think!

The stage was alive with action, emotion and competition as two teams, Dishum Dishum and Improbable Fiction, battled it out at the second round of Act Before You Think Season II recently.

The games, while challenging, were always fun to play and watch - as the audience laughed and cheered on both teams throughout the night.

One game had the participants expressing a range of emotions/situations in quick succession, some as diverse as paranoia and frustration and constipation! Another had a participant from each team pull out a number of lines of dialogue from a hat and say them while playing a specific situation, such as ‘standing on a windy precipice’! Games like these also had the audience directly involved with, as the audience was asked for suggestions beforehand and had the opportunity to see their suggestions being played out in front of them by the participants.

The distinguished judges for the night included the Season’s Resident Judges Thushara Hettihamu and Prasad Pereira, both renowned for their work in theatre over the past decade, and Guest Judge for the night, Sulochana Dissanayake, one of Colombo’s imminent theatre directors, who specialises in puppetry. Both teams displayed immense team-spirit, and energy, but ultimately Dishum Dishum emerged winners! The winning team consisted of Kimaya, Caleb, Sasha and Thomas, and Improbable Fiction, who gave a fierce fight, consisted of Roxanne, Vindiya, Prashan, Nilma.
