Remembering Bla'ze of Kingswood

Help Tharushi

Tharushi Hettihewa (13) of Bathalawatta, Thalagasdeniya, Hikkaduwa suffering from a cancerous tumour. Despite treatment at the Colombo National Hospital she has not fully recovered from the ailment and doctors have recommended further specialized treatment to save her life. Her father Saman Sri Lal says further treatment will cost nearly Rs 1 million.

The family is not in a position to meet this cost due to their present financial plight. He would request kind donors to send whatever financial contributions possible to expedite the treatment and save his daughters life.

She needs help

Rathnayaka Mudiyanselage Srimali Dimuthu Kumari, 20, a resident of Shanthi, Deliwa, Ruwalwela, Moneragala has been diagnosed to have left C P angle tumor. Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist Dr. Rathandevi of Apollo hospitals, Chennai India has recommended a cyberknife radio surgery (10 fractions) and has advised early surgery to save the girl's life.

The cost of the operation will be around Rs. 1.5 million and the duration of stay in India will be around three weeks as outpatient.

The cost of the procedure is around Rs. 2 million which the patient's family cannot afford. Her parents appeal to the public to help them with financial assistance to save their daughter's life.
