Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2012 to be held in Lanka

The Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) 2012 is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka on February 12, 2012.

The awards recognize business leaders who have shown outstanding performance and resolve in building successful businesses while also serving the community.

It honours entrepreneurs in a number of categories such as the Emerging Entrepreneur Award, the Most Promising Entrepreneur Award, the Young Entrepreneur Award, the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Woman Entrepreneurship Award, the Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The event is organized by Enterprise Asia and supported by local governments, chambers of commerce and businesses. It also brings together a large number of leading entrepreneurs across the Asian region.

Thus, the event provides a platform to encourage continued leadership towards sustainable economic development in the Asia Pacific region and it is even more significant in the present day context of Sri Lanka working towards encouraging business and attracting investors.
