'Voters responsible of appointing capable representatives'

Voters are responsible of appointing educated, capable, honest and clever persons as public representatives, said Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne.

"This would ensure a more efficient development programme in the country," he said addressing the opening ceremonies of the electricity projects in Agalawatta electorate.

Palindanuwara, Morapitiya and Thawana nursery schools received electricity through this project. The minister also donated sports and other equipment to the Supipi Nursery School in Kowilgoda, Magura.

"Electricity has become essential in the day-to-day lives than in the past," he said.

Minister Senaratne also opened weekly fairs in Rajagama and Galle which had been built through funds from International Funds for Agricultural Development Project (IFAD) under the purview of the Tsunami Coastal Rehabilitation and Resources Management Programme.
