The Police arrested a driver on Saturday who withdrew money from Trincomalee and Batticaloa banks using a stolen electronic teller card.

The police arrested the suspect following a complaint lodged by a woman last Monday.

The suspect, who is the driver of the woman, had stolen the teller card which was in her car and had withdrawn Rs 240,000. The police seized the money and the teller card. The suspect was produced before the Batticaloa magistrate.
