Only UPFA can overcome Colombo challenges - Muzammil

Colombo Municipal Council UPFA candidate Mohamed Muzammil said it is only the UPFA that can overcome the challenges that confront the Colombo Municipal Council. “The main burning issue is lack of housing. Over 65,000 people living in Colombo do not have houses and even the families who have housing do not have proper houses with basic facilities”.

Destroying shanties and relocating slum dwellers is a utter lie and a fabricated rumour. Colombo people will be given new housing from Colombo and not from anywhere else. They will be given housing in their own places. They will be given their own bathrooms and toilets. At the moment they use common bathrooms and toilets. New housing will offer them their own personal toilets and bathrooms. They will have a living room to sit and rest when they return home after work. At the moment they rest on drainages after returning home in the evening.
