Vidyartha openers put on 122 runs

An opening stand of 122 between Ruwan Bandara 76 (13 fours, 131 balls) and Muditha Elpitiya 34 (2 fours, 1 six, 109 balls) for Vidyartha College was the highlight of their inter-school cricket match against Kegalu Vidyalaya which ended in a draw at Police Grounds, Kandy yesterday.

At close Kegalu Vidyalaya had made 151 for 5 in their second innings.

Kegalu Vidyalaya: 184 and 151 for 5 in 41.1 overs (Tharaka Somatilleke 71, S A Kapila Ranasinghe 24, Nimantha Ratnayake 26, Muditha Elpitiya 2 for 12, Tilina Rupasara 2 for 36).

Vidyartha College: (27 for no loss overnight continued) 227 for 6 wickets declared in 61 overs. (Ruwan Bandara 76, Muditha Elpitiya 34, Nilusha Galapitiyage 36, Keshan Gamage 26, Tilina Rupasena 35, Samadhi Dassanayake 2 for 33).
