Action against bribery in education sector

The Commission Investigating Allegations of Bribery and Corruption is due to hold talks with high ranking education officials today regarding the increasing number of bribery and corruption allegations received against education officials.

Commission Chairman Former Supreme Court judge Jagath Balapatabendi said discussions will also be made regarding action to be taken against principals and education officials who rake in vast sums from parents and guardians taking cover behind various official circulars.
