Petrol fiasco: CPC dpty manager sent on compulsory leave

Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Deputy Commercial Manager was sent on compulsory leave from Thursday until a disciplinary inquiry is held against him. Petroleum Industries Ministry spokesperson said that the Deputy Commercial Manager was sent on leave on the instructions of the CPC chairman.

He added that the CPC chairman took this initiative following the minister’s direction to take disciplinary action against officers involved in the import of substandard petrol that damaged several vehicles and petrol pumps.
