CMI Sri Lanka Branch organizes HR Business Leaders Forum
The first public event of the CMI Sri Lanka branch will commence with
the HR Business Forum on "The art of optimizing 3 Ps By HR, People,
performance and Profit?.
The branch regularly organizes "Evening Presentations" on topics of
contemporary interest to its members and to interested corporate
members.
This event will be held on September 26, from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm at
the Palm Lounge, Galle Face Hotel with eminent HR professionals Sunil
Dissanayake, Isuru Thilakawardane and Rohan Pandithakoralage as guest
speakers.
The session will be moderated by Janaka Kumarasinghe (Past President,
IPM Sri Lanka).
The programme will focus on the role of HR in turning around business
corporations and the importance of people as a strategic asset.
The President of the institute Keethi Jayaweera said the institute
has chosen this theme because today's Business Leaders are much more
concern in developing their financial capital rates other than human
capital.
This would result in loosing many business opportunities and end up
with bankrupts faster than they envisage.
Therefore the people who drive businesses for their organization are
a critical success factor in a completive business environment.
Those who preserve their human resources while going through many
setbacks in other areas will have a better chance to regain their lost
opportunities, and move forward successfully.
He said this genuine truth of the business should be shared with many
business leaders and generate a debate over this but unfortunately the
professional bodies have not given a deep thought and widespread about
this important message.
