Ranwan Samanalayo A golden treat for children

A significant children’s music DVD titled ‘Ranwan Samanalayo’ will be launched at the Ranminithenna Film Village in Hambantota on September 15 at 3 pm under the distinguished participation of veteran lyricist Rathna Sri Wijesinghe.

The DVD comprises 12 songs and visuals depicting talented children from remote areas.

The songs have been created by the VOICE Performing Arts Training Academy headed by Indika Prageeth Ranasinghe in collaboration with World Vision’s Lunugamwehera Area Development Programme headed by Aruna Liyanage.

“The meaningful songs were penned and composed by talented personalities with the aim of promoting the concept of a better tomorrow for today’s children. It took me more than year to select the children for this DVD. Initially we had to give them extensive training on singing, dancing etc. But it’s unbelievable that these children grasped what was taught to them and showcased their hidden talents which will be evident in the DVD. Our intention is to convey a message to the elders through these children,” he said.
