New volume on communication trends presented to President

Government Information Director General Prof Ariyarathne Athugala presented a book authored by him titled "Sannivedana Pravanatha" to President Mahinda Rajspaksa on August 23, at Temple Trees.

This book provides an alternative academic access for undergraduates and scholars to learn mass media and journalism as a subject.

Prof Athugala who is also a senior lecturer of the Mass Communication Department of the University of Kelaniya has made an attempt through this book to highlight in advance the future challenges in the spheres of mass media in the world. This book further provides insights to modern communication trends, trends in media philosophy and media theory, media literacy, information warfare and cyber crimes etc. The book has been published by Fast Publishing (Private) Limited.
