No news about fishermen missing since Aug 8

The four fishermen who set out to sea from the Hambantota fishery harbour in the vessel Samudra on a fishing expedition on August 8, are still reported missing.

They are residents of Kottegoda, Nonagama, Sisilasagama and Mirijjawila grief stricken relatives of the foursome said they had not heard any news from them ever since one of them, Tilak Ananda contacted his family on the phone around 5 pm on August 8.

They said the Ocean University and the Tangalle Navy Unit have been informed about the missing fishermen. DW
