Gulf Air increases flights to Colombo

As part of its new winter schedule, Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air will increase its flights to Colombo to nine flights per week.

Announcing the schedule that will come into effect from October 30, Gulf Air Chief Commercial Officer Karim Makhlouf said, "Our Colombo service, which we started last October with four flights a week, has been well patronised by our customers registering over 75% load factor consistently.

We are also witnessing over 50% increase in traffic from key European cities as well as from the GCC to this popular holiday destination indicating the need for additional flights." "Therefore, we will increase our flights to nine per week with convenient morning and evening flights. All our European flights provide excellent connectivity to Colombo via our efficient Bahrain hub so whether it is the European holidaymakers or the Sri Lankan expatriate community living in Europe, they now have more choices to fly to Sri Lanka."

"Our aim is to offer our customers the best network of destinations, excellent connectivity to different market segments, newer aircraft, consistent and high quality products and above all, a real value-for-money to our customers," Makhlouf concluded.
