Prof Sunanda Mahendra’s latest book

Book launch
Seasoned dramatist and writer Rohana Dandeniya and his son, dramatist
and translator Tharanga Dandeniya will launch three of their latest
books at the Public library auditorium on August 25 at 3.30 pm. Culture
and Arts Minister T B Ekanayake will be the chief guest at the event.
The three books comprise Saba Karaliya (short story collection), Rasin
Deiyyo (Drama script) and Mee Pani Pedesa (drama translation). Ransin
Deiyyo was staged in Australia last year. Professor Sunanda Mahendra,
Somaweera Senayake and Jayalath Manoratne will make speeches.
Satishchandra Edirisinghe will compere the event. A short video of the
staging of Rasin Deiyyo will also be shown.

Ariyasena Ediriweera's latest book Sri Lankava Saha Aparadha Vidyava
will be launched at Dayawansa Jayakody Bookshop, Colombo 10 on August 23
at 10 a.m.
It is a Dayawansa Jayakody publication.

Cultural Centre in Sri Lanka since 1955, presents Shani Diluka in
concert with her husband Gabrielle Magadure at Lionel Wendt Theatre on
August 26 at 7 pm.
Box Plan and Tickets at Lionel Wendt proceed in aid of the Cancer
Society of Sri Lanka.

Visharadha Abhisheka Wimalaweera will present a music concert titled
Seema Ne at the New Arts Theatre, Colombo University, on August 26 at 2
pm. She will present 25 songs in Sinhala, Hindi and English.
Vocalists Lahiru Perera and Shehan Kaushalya will duet with Abhisheka
at the event. Ransi Ranasinghe, Oshadhi, Lakshan Vathuhewa amd Chamil
will compere the show. Upeka Gangodawila Dance Academy will present
dance items. |
