Light House veterans soccer champions

The Beruwela Football League last month launched an inter-club veterants soccer tournament on a one month trial basis expand the popularity of sources.

The participated teams were Y M S C Veterants, Zavia SC Veterants, Super Sun SC Veterants, Light House SC Veterants, Berbaryn SC Veterants, Dharga United Veterants SC, Golden Rise Veterants SC.

They played under two groups.

This tournament was conducted by the Beruwela Football League and sponsored by M A M Natchan (London) for Grand father late O L M Ziyad Marikkar Memorial Challenge Cup. In the final, Light House Veterants SC beat Dharga United Veterants SC 5-4 in the Penalties shoot out. The game ended nil all at full time.

The presentation of Prizes and trophies was held under the patronage of M S M Faslan, President of Beruwela Football League and Chief Gust, Western Provincial Council Member Piyal Nishantha de Silva. The game was played at Zahira College Ground Dharga Town.
