Trinity maintain unbeaten record

Trinity College Maintained their unbeaten record when they registered a 127 run win over Prince of Wales College Moratuwa in their schools’ under 17 Division one cricket tournament second round match played at Moratuwa on Tuesday.

Trinty’s skipper Rajitha Jayatunge scored a fine 56 with 8 fours and was supported by Ron Chandragupta who made 46.

The Cambrians chasing a victory target of 244 were dismissed for 116 with medium pacer Madushan Supendran 3 for 23 and spinner Dinuk Wickremanayake 3 for 13 doing the damage.

This was Trinity’s 8th win in a row six in the group Matches two in the second round stage of the tournament.

Trinity College 243 all out in 49.3 overs (Bhaghya 42, Lakshitha Dasanayake 42, Arjuna Jayasinghe 23, Ron Chandragupta 46, Rajitha Jayatunga 56, C H Fernando 3 for 39)

Prince of Wales College 116 all out in 42.1 overs (N J Fernando 39, S P Kumara 28, Madhushan Supendran 3 for 23, Dinuk Whickremanayake 3 for 13)
