Medical Aid and advice
The Army Medical Corps Ex-Servicemen’s Association has inaugurated a
project to help disabled members by visiting their homes, and also help
them fulfil other requirements. Major General Dudley Perera President of
the association and the ex-committee will participate in this. On a
particular day, a certain area will be selected and the disabled and
sick members would be given medical attention and their families would
be given help within the purview of the association. Members and the

Billiard and Snookers Tournament
Finals of the Billiards and Snooker tournament organized by the Sri
Lanka Ex-Servicemen’s Institute (SLESI) was held on August 10 at the
Billiard Room of the SLESI.
B R Tilakaratne of Sri Lanka Engineers Association won the
championship of the billiard tournament by scoring 352 - 250 marks.
Runner-up was Major H Wilson of the Sri Lanka Engineers Association.
N K Siripala of Armour Veterans Association won the championship of
the snooker tournament winning by 3 - 1. Runner-up was G Jayasundara of
Sri Lanka Engineers Association.
Cash prizes trophies and certificates were awarded by Major General
Tilak Paranagama VSV USP President SLESI and Captain Patrick Jayasinghe
PSV President SLESA.
Vice President SLESA Major General K A M G Kularatne USP and Lt. Col.
D M Amarakoon of the Ex-Co participated as invitees. Major Sunil
Jayaratne Manager, SLESI was the Chief Organizer of this tournament.
SLN Women’s Association Families Get-together
The Sri Lanka Naval Women’s Association, which was inaugurated in
1985 comprising of women sailors and officers has planned to hold its
mid - 2011 get-to-gether at the Gampaha Botanical Gardens on August 28
from 10 a.m. on a grand scale.
The President and the Executive Committee invite all members to
