Cashier granted bail

The Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau (CFIB) yesterday produced a suspect, a cashier of a leading private company, before Colombo Fort Magistrate and Additional District Judge Lanka Jayaratne for allegedly having cheated a private company in a sum of Rs 3.5 million. After the submissions made by Senior Attorney Sanjey Gamage, the judge granted bail of Rs 15,000 and a bond of Rs 250,000 each with two sureties for the suspect.

Granting bail the judge directed the suspect to appear in court again on October 18.

Senior Attorney Sanjey Gamage with Sudashini Gunaratne appeared for the suspect.
