Ratnayeke heads SLBBC
Sri Lanka - Benelux Business Council (SLBBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of
Commerce hosted its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and A and A
International Opticians proprietor, Ranee Ratnayeke, was elected as the
President for the period 2011/2012, at Board Room of Ceylon Chamber of
Commerce.
Nisol Diamonds (Pvt) Ltd Director Nigel Austin, Limako Suiker BV
Trade Representative, P.M. Abeysekera, were elected as the Vice
presidents of the Council. The Executive Committee elected comprised
Mahaweli Reach Hotels PLC, Jayantha Panabokke, Mercantile Produce
Brokers, Deepal Jayamanne, Promising Products Company E M B Daniel and
Walkers Tours Ltd, Suren Basnayake, Andrew The Travel Co. Ltd, Mahen
Kariyawasam, and Aitken Spense Travels (Pvt) Ltd, Sajith Wijenayake.
Travelserve Limited’s Sega Nagendra will serve the committee in the
capacity of Immediate Past President. Sri Lanka - Benelux Business
Council was formed in April 1992 with a primary objective of promoting
trade, investment tourism and services between Sri Lanka and the Benelux
countries (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) and to promote
mutual understanding and strengthen relationships between Sri Lanka and
the Benelux countries.
