Corporates charter SriLankan air taxis
SriLankan Airlines’ air taxi, is becoming a popular mode of transport
for corporate clients who want to take a quick ride out of the city for
a day of business or leisure. Recently, Ceylinco Life’s Platinum
Category, a group of 20 premium Club members and their families, were
hosted to a day’s outing in Kandy, by the insurance company.

SriLankan Airlines’ two Twin Otter air taxis, flew out the group to
Victoria and Polgolla in Kandy in half an hour and flew them back to
Colombo also in half an hour, after spending the day in Kandy, cutting
down travel time between Colombo and Kandy and return from six hours to
just over an hour.
Besides its scheduled flights to Kandy, Bentota, Koggala and
Dickwella , the air taxi can be chartered for leisure outings or for
quick transfers to any of the air taxi’s current destinations.
The option of returning to Colombo the same day after concluding
their business in another city, has proved to be a big attraction to
corporate customers in addition to the time saved on a quick half an
hour to forty five minute flight to any of the air taxis current
destinations.
Corporates like Moet Hennessy, MAS Holdings, Arc Worldwide (integrate
arm of Leo Burnett solutions), Mackwoods, Finlays, Orient Lanka and Odel,
have chartered the air taxis for their travel within the country. |
