Lecturers, teachers join Israeli rallies
ISRAEL: Israeli teachers and students have joined anti-regime
demonstrators that have once again taken to the streets across Israel to
protest the soaring costs of living and education.
Some 1,500 university lecturers, teachers, students as well as youth
groups marched across Israel on Thursday to protests Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu’s economic policies, a Press TV correspondent
reported.
“Hopefully, what we are saying here, we make the government some sort
of a change of mind, that eventually, will make improve the education
general and the higher education specifically,” one of the student
protesters said.
Tel Aviv was the scene of Thursday’s massive rally of workers’
organizations from all sectors of Israel.
