Black Belt for Sharmilla
Sharmilla Weerasinghe was awarded the 1st Dai Black Belt by
Grandmaster M Hassen Khalid at the Fei Quan Do Grading Test held at the
“Mullti Hall” Royal College Sports Complex, Colombo 7 recently.

A large number of members from schools, international schools,
organizations, institutions, clubs etc vied for their colours and grades
at the event.
Among the participants were Indian and Pakistan students. The grading
test was conducted by the Fei Quan Do International headed by well-known
martial arts and physical fitness expert Grandmaster M Hasen Khalid the
founder of Fei Quan Do way of the flying fists martial arts, ably
assisted by Deputy Chief Instructor M Nuzky Khalid (3rd Dai Black belt)
along with senior members N Hisham Muhummuth (1st Dai Black belt) M
Jennites Perera (1st Dai Black belt) and S Bavithran (1st Dai Black
belt)
The guests of honour were Dr Jagath Amarasekara (Constulant
Epidemiologist Unit Ministry of Health) Sri Lanka, Dr Tamara Fernando (Durdans
Hospital), Sabir Mughal (Deputy Security Advisor United Nations Sri
Lanka), Ruwan Waidyaratna, (Managing Director Hayleys Advantis Ltd), Mrs
Devika Waidyaratne, Manoj Kumar (General Manager Technology) Ceat India,
Mrs Manoj Kumar. Nigat S Mughal Mrs Sudarshani Gunaratne
(Attorney-at-law)
