Distribution of ganja by hotelier nabbed

Galewela police arrested a hotelier and several supporters while distributing packets of ganja among drivers and conductors bringing long distance passengers to his hotel.

Galewela police on a tip-off raided the hotel. A police constable who went in the guise of a bus conductor, arrested the man while distributing packets of ganja among bus crew as an appreciation for bringing passengers to his hotel.

Police recovered 40 packets of Ganja from the suspect’s possession. Police informed the Sri Lanka Transport Board and Passengers Transport Authority of the incident.
