Secure content and threat management solutions:

Avian, Kaspersky launch 2012 versions

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, together with their local partners, Avian Technologies, released the 2012 versions of its home user products, namely Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2012, both of which are designed to provide internet users with maximum protection and convenience. Avian Technologies (Pvt) Ltd is the sole authorized distributor for Kaspersky AV products for Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Speaking at the launch Avian Technologies Director and Co-founder of Ranil Francisco said, “When Kaspersky was first commercially introduced to the market in 2007, our challenge was to encourage Sri Lankans to purchase original AV products. Today having conquered the AV industry in Sri Lanka, it is our primary goal to offer the latest technology at the most affordable price to suit the Sri Lankan market.

“We are very proud to launch our flagship Kaspersky retail product range version 2012 which combines the best of both worlds, where you experience the true features of Hybrid and Cloud protection” Kaspersky Labs, India, Managing Director Altaf Haldei, said that though the Internet had become an integral part of life for today’s computer users, it was awash with dangers and threats.

“A tool which many people depend on during business trips and vacations, the Internet harbours a multitude of threats that lie in wait for unsuspecting users including data theft, phishing, cyber-blackmail and mass spam mailings to name but a few.

“As a result, users need comprehensive protection whenever they go online because computer threats could be lurking anywhere: in online services and emails, on removable media, or even on public networks in airports and hotels,” he said.
