Luxury yacht service here

For the first time in Sri Lanka a luxury yacht (The Floating Paradise) was launched at the Colombo Harbour targeting the up market segment of both local foreign clientele.

Lanka Luxury Yachts (Pvt) Ltd consisting of three leading entrepreneurs has invested Rs 75 million to launch this operation.

“We are hoping to invest a further Rs. 50 million and purchase another yacht,” he said.

Three entrepreneurs, DPJ Holdings, Chairman/CEO Prasantha Jayamanne, Beverly Street Chairman, S. N. Kumara and Nisanka Senadhipathi feel there are fulfilling a long felt need of in the country’s leisure sector.

Senadhipathi said they examined over 3,000 yachts in the Maldives, Dubai and several other countries before purchasing this yacht from the UAE.

He also said that they faced several other problems to and wanted to give up the project but went ahead since it will add value to the country as a destination.

“Special events, Corporate activities and get-togetherstoo could be hosted in the yacht,” he said.
