India slump against England
Sachin Tendulkar was powerless to prevent India collapsing to 68 for
six on the fourth day of the second Test against England at Trent Bridge
here on Monday.
India, at tea, still needed a further 410 runs to reach an ever-more
unlikely record victory target of 478. Tim Bresnan did the bulk of the
damage with four wickets for 17 runs in eight overs including two in two
balls.
No team has made more in the fourth innings to win a Test than the
418 for seven posted by the West Indies against Australia at St John’s,
Antigua, in 2002/03.
