Youth nabbed

The Tangalle division Anti Vice Squad nabbed a young man who was involved in drug peddling with 25 packets of heroin containing 1,200 miligrams at Ambalantota town recently.

The suspect was a resident of Walawawatta and had been involved in a series of thefts in Matara and Ja-Ela areas, police said. A team of police officers led by Anti Vice Squad Tangalle OIC, Inspector Susantha nabbed the suspect.
