Senior Minister Wickramanayaka said the Government which has utilized
resources for the national development effort was unable to provide all
the facilities required by Daham pasalas.
He said development encompassed mental development as well which
could be obtained from Daham pasalas.
A solution could be found to any problem by looking at it from the
religious point of view. “We ought to strengthen Daham pasalas if we are
to produce a future generation which will not be a burden to the state.”
Parents and guardians should strive to send their children to Daham
pasalas or Sunday schools without directing them to other classes or
work,” Senior Minister Wickramanayaka said.
