Browns signs MoU with SLIC

Brown and Company signed an MOU with the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation (SLIC) offering a first of its kind free insurance policy for farmers who purchase TAFE 45 DI tractors.

Brown and Company Managing Director Murali Prakash said this was initiated to reduce the burden of customers in registering the tractor which is a time consuming and costly affair.

The offer is valid from August 1 to February 29, 2012 but it might be extended further, he said.

Sri Lanka Insurance Managing Director Mohan De Alwis said this venture offered to TAFE tractor owners will benefit the farmers immensely and Sri Lanka Insurance constantly strives to enhance and uplift the environment and lifestyles of the Sri Lankan people.

Sri Lanka Insurance hopes to give a minimum of 1,000 policies during this period. Browns which has been in the forefront of introducing new technology to Sri Lanka’s agricultural sector launched the TAFE 45 DI to Sri Lanka with Massey Ferguson Technology which is considered the most technologically advanced tractor available in the market today.
