The Lawyers Cricket World Cup Tournament for the third consecutive
year is to be held from August 7 to 22, 2011 at Barbados Island, West
Indies. This world cup tournament was held in Hyderabad in India for the
first time; where India and Pakistan won the championship and the first
runners up title respectively. Sri Lanka was commended as second
runner-up at this first tournament.
The second World Cup tournament was held in Cambridge, London; where
Sri Lanka couldn’t play in two matches in the series due to the rain
which led to an unfortunate situation of being knocked out from the
tournament.
There are 8 test cricket countries participating in this 2011 Lawyers
Cricket world cup, where the lawyers will be representing their
countries respectively.
The tournament that was initiated three years back intending to
develop friendship, fellowship and integrity among the lawyers around
the world; has taken a very competitive face where all talented,

cricketers who are ready for the rivalry and look forward for Sri
Lanka’s victory.
