Dilanka Mannakkara
A last minute drop goal by Policeman Harshana Wijeweera helped Police
SC to score a thrilling 22 points(one goal, two drop goals and three
penalties) to 20 (one goal, two tries, one penalty) win over CH and FC in
their Caltex A division League Plate Championship match, played at Police
Park yesterday after leading 7-0 at the breather.

penalties and dropping two goals and also added the extra points to the
solitary try scored by hooker Malith Hettiarachchi in the first half
which gave him a personal tally of 17 points.
CH and FC were unfortunate to lose the game after staging a superb
fightback in the second half in which they scored three dazzling tries
through No 8 Fijian Driu Qoro(two) and Skipper and Winger Lakala Perera
(one) with Full Back Indika Wickramanayke adding the extra points to one
try and also putting over a penalty which saw the lads from Maitland
