Specially designed for disabled children:
AMW provides bus for ESCAT
An Eicher bus specially designed to transport physically handicapped
children was handed over to Equality Based Community Support and
Training (ESCAT) organization by the Eicher Vehicles Division of
Associated Motorways Limited (AMW), recently.

ESCAT, a Sri Lankan non-governmental organization, which provides
welfare facilities and training to disabled children, is expected to use
this purpose-built bus at its training centre in Galle.
The latest Eicher buses and trucks, manufactured under technical
collaboration by the world famous Swedish automobile company Volvo and
Eicher motor company in India, are imported and distributed in Sri Lanka
by AMW.
AMW’s Eicher Vehicles Division Sales Manager Mahendra Rajapaksa said
this Eicher bus is specially designed for physically handicapped
children in wheelchairs to board and disembark the vehicle with ease.
Another plus factor is that wheelchairs can be manoeuvred within the bus
without any difficulty. |
