Chamber presentation
A presentation titled "Moving from doing things right to doing the
right things: Emerging paradigms for construction and the Built
Environment" by Professor Mike Kagioglou facilitated by the Chamber of
Construction Industry will be held at the Cinnamon Grand on Friday 29.
Construction, architecture and the built environment have, for some
decades now, attempted to improve the way building and infrastructure is
conceptualized, designed, built and operated.
Largely though, those improvements have focused on 'doing things
right', i.e. improving how things are performed today and in a handful
of cases attempting to 'do the right things'.
Mike Kagioglou is a Professor of Process Management and Head of
School of the Built Environment at the Salford University, UK. He is the
University's Built and Human Environment Theme Leader, the Health and
Care Infrastructures Research and Innovation Centre (HaCIRIC) Director
and the Salford Centre for Research and Innovation (SCRI) Director.
Mike's presentation will back track the progress made over the last
15 years.
