NHRDC workshop

National Human Resource Development Council of Sri Lanka (NHRDC) recently organized a vocational training seminar at the Colombo Public Library auditorium, in collaboration with the Lanka BPO Academy, to offer opportunities to students who were not successful in their Advanced Level examinations, to find suitable vocational paths.

The event was attended by a large number of youth who are keen on vocational training and are looking for new opportunities in this sphere. At this session, popular psychology and personality development speaker Lankapriya Abeywardhana did a session to assist and guide students on methods to enhance their professional life and personal life.

The students were also helped by Lanka BPO Academy with a workshop on latest trends in the vocational training sector.

The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry was introduced to them which is a newly upcoming sector in the Sri Lankan economy.

National Human Resources Development Council of Sri Lanka Chairman Nimal Bopage also spoke at the workshop. The other resource personnel at the session were Yasas Vishuddhi Abeywickrama, Dharshana Illamperuma (Lanka BPO Academy) Gagan Gujral and Pankaj Akhauri (Timex BPO)
