SLFP 60th anniversary ceremony on September 2

SLFP General Secretary and Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena said
that it has been decided to hold the 60th anniversary ceremony of the
SLFP on September 2 at Temple Trees.
A week will be declared and various programmes, including the launch
of development projects, enrolment of new party members and meritorious
deeds will be held.
This will be organized throughout the week parallel to the
Anniversary ceremony.
He said that the past and present party leaders will be felicitated
on the occasion. “The SLFP has emerged as the strongest political party
in the country and has become the party of the common man. The SLFP goes
down in history as the only political party to have eradicated terrorism
from the country, he said.
