Fairway Holdings helps children with cancer

Fairway Holdings recently donated a substantial quantity of drugs worth over a million rupees to the National Cancer Institute Paediatric Unit, Maharagama being the entire proceeds of the 'Roots' reggae concert sponsored by the company.

In a note of thanks, Consultant Dr. Prasad Abeysinghe, wrote that the donation will contribute to the successful treatment of the children without any disruption. "It will benefit the poor children with cancer," he noted.

"At a time when most of the cancer drugs are very expensive and are out of reach to poorer people, we thought this would help ease their burden," Fairway Holdings Director Neluka De Alwis said.
